Pyrophillite

Pyrophillite is a phyllosilicate mineral composed of aluminum silicate hydroxide. Pyrophillite is also used in refractory materials, providing excellent resistance to high temperatures and thermal shock unique properties it exhibits  low thermal expansion and high thermal stability properties. It used also in paints excellent filler and extender, improving the rheological properties and hiding power of coatings, it enchase the weatherability due to its fine particle size and platy structure. In plastics and polymer it is used as reinforcement filler due to its high aspect ratio and low abrasiveness, it also help t enhance the mechanical and dimensional stability of plastic products.
